Abstract
There has been substantial recent interest in the generation of synchronized, tunable femtosecond pulses at two wavelengths. This has been demonstrated to date using various techniques such as a femtosecond optical parametric oscillator,1 a mode-locked Ti:Al2O3/dye laser combination," and a novel optical sampling technique based on two mode-locked Ti:Al2O3 lasers,”' In this paper we describe anal ternative approach based on a single self-mode-locked4 Ti: Al2O3 laser system that simultaneously generated synchronized femtosecond pulses in two spectral bands.
