Abstract

Stimulated Raman scattering (SRS) in P2O5-doped silica fibers has enabled high efficiency frequency conversion of 1.06-μm pump pulses with nanosecond1 and picosecond2 durations. However, so far no analysis has been carried out on SRS in P2O5 doped fibers utilizing pump radiation propagating in the regime of negative group velocity dispersion.
