Abstract
Recent advances in both high-temperature superconductivity and high-speed electronics have raised interest in the fundamental limits on both speed and sensitivity of superconducting optoelectronic devices. One set of applications depends upon the large resistance change obtained when a superconductor is driven through its transition temperature.
