Abstract

In addition to several 256 × 256 devices with 40-μm pitch (which are the largest high-sensitivity HgCdTe hybrids currently available), we are presently developing a 640 × 480, 27-μm pitch device and a 320 × 240, 30-μm pitch device for the MWIR (3–5 μm) spectral band. The 256 × 256 hybrids are made with PACE-1 (Producible Alternative to CdTe for Epitaxy; HgCdTe-on-sapphire) detector material. The 640 × 480 will use recently developed PACE-3 (HgCdTe-on-silicon) material.
