Abstract

Experimental and parametric study of a wide- aperture, x-ray preionized, discharge-pumped XeCl laser is presented. First, the laser performances have been optimized single shot. Then the laser chamber has been included in a gas circulation loop made of stainless-steel and Nicoated. The aim of this loop is to increase the pulse rate frequency. The x-rays are produced by a secondary emission electron gun, which has been described previously.1 The electron gun voltage is kept constant at 120 kV.
