Abstract

In this paper we report for the first time a new type of high efficiency BaTiO3 phase-conjugate mirror. We use it as a self-pumped phase-conjugate mirror of 75% reflectivity. This new arrangement is highly insensitive to the alignment of the incident beam. We can easily obtain more than 70% self-pumped phase-conjugate reflectivity, even when the incident angle is rotated through 24°. Compared with conventional cat mirrors, the build-up time is 2-3 times faster and has greater temporal stability.
