Abstract
We are developing a compact large aperture (5 × 5-cm) KrF discharge amplifier module for use in the Nike laser system. An array of these modules will be used to amplify nanosecond duration laser pulses to energies suitable for driving large aperture e-beam pumped KrF amplifiers. The Nike laser will produce multikilojoule laser pulses for laser-matter interaction studies.
