Abstract

The production of short wavelengths using stimulated Raman generation in H2 has long been adopted as a simple and efficient method for generating relatively high powers of VUV radiation. We have reported the generation of light at 170 nm through Raman shifting a doubled dye laser to the sixth anti-Stokes wave.
