Abstract

Recently, tissue diagnostics based on fluorescence laser spectroscopy has emerged as an interesting complement to other modalities. Signals from tumor-seeking agents as well as the natural tissue fluorescence (autofluorescence) can be utilized for demarcating diseased tissue from surrounding unaffected areas.
