Abstract

CO2 lasers have been commonly used for differential absorption light detection and ranging (lidar) of chemical pollutants. A desire to use lidar methods for mapping concentrations of certain pollutants in an indoor workplace led to the identification of a need for a CO2 laser meeting certain special requirements.
