Abstract
The spectral and chirping properties of a semiconductor laser loaded by a passive resonator are of great interest because in actual coherent or high performance direct communication systems, this monolithic or hybrid structure is widely used for its narrow linewidth and low chirp characteristics.1–3 Moreover semiconductor lasers are very sensible for optical feedback; a residual reflection as low as −60 dB may have a non-negligible effect on the spectral and chirping properties.4–5
