Abstract

Operation at the low photon backgrounds posed by the various short and medium wavelength infrared (SWIR, MWIR) imaging bands requires low noise focal plane array (FPA) readouts. Faint object photometry and spectrometry require that integrated FPA noise sources be much less than 100 e-for a variety of exposure times. We are using hybrid FPA technology to allow both readout and detector optimization.
