Abstract

Stable laser diodes are required for a number of applications, such as coherent communications and transmitting clock pulses. Arrays of lasers, which make possible much higher power, have been investigated for phase locking and stability in the time domain both experimentally1 and theoretically.2 Here we investigate noise in the frequency domain.
