A Subpicosecond Actively Modelocked Ti:Sapphire Laser and Amplifier System

Abstract

We have constructed an actively modelocked Ti:sapphire laser operating in the 1 µm wavelength regime capable of producing subpicosecond pulses. These pulses are then amplified using chirped pulse amplification techniques in a Ti:sapphire regenerative amplifier.
