Abstract

Thin epitaxial films of the ferroelectric and pyroelectric perovskite BaTiO3 are of interest in the construction of devices such as thin film capacitors and pyroelectric detectors. Because of its large electrooptic coefficient thin epitaxial films of this material are also of interest for various nonlinear optical applications.
