Abstract

High-power operation of a UV preionized XeCI excimer laser was investigated. A high average power over 120 W was obtained in a simple capacitor transfer laser1,2 with an air-cooled thyratron by employing an efficient UV preionization scheme and a stable high-speed gas circulation system.
