Abstract
High-efficiency operation of an all-solid-state exciter with a magnetic pulse compressor (MFC) and silicon-controlled rectifier (SCR) switching for a high-repetition-rate TEA C02 laser has been achieved. A long pumping time of ~ 1IJ.S for a TEA C02 laser considerably decreases the transfer loss of a MPC, which results in efficient and reliable operation under high-average-power loading.
