Abstract

To realize high-performance systems while utilizing DSM lasers, it is indispensable to control the temperature dependence of the lasing wavelength for matching between lasers and passive optical components. Experimental reports1 about electrical wavelength stabilization under temperature variation with wavelength-tunable multicavity lasers have been published. A maximum stabilized temperature range of 12° was reported with mode hopping.2
