Influence of guide width on CO2 waveguide laser tunability

Abstract

We present results from a compact tunable rf-excited CO2 waveguide laser with variable guide width and confirm theoretical predictions that the laser mode frequencies and line selectivity depend very sharply on guide dimensions.
