Abstract

The fabrication and performance characteristics of InGaAsP distributed feedback real-index-guided lasers with multiquantum well (MQW) active layers are described. The lasers are of the double-channel planar-buried-heterostructure (DCPBH) and ridge waveguide (RWG) type and emit near 1.3 and 1.55 μm.
