Abstract

Single-element injection-locking has been shown to be an effective method for controlling both the spatial and spectral emission characteristics of gain-guided diode laser arrays,1 We show that the injection of optical radiation from a single-frequency master oscillator also provides a means for studying the coupling behavior in these devices.
