Abstract
Monolithic optical integrated circuits are key components for future optical communications as well as optical processing systems.1 So far, various structures have been proposed for integration of optical devices. However, crystal growth and process technology for fabrication are so complicated that only a few reports on the integration have been published, furthermore, key devices appropriate for Integration such as small-sized optical switches could not be obtained.
