Abstract

The amorphous magnetooptical recording medium is one of the most promising candidates for erasable optical recording.¹ However, more improvements of the SNR and degradation due to magnetooptical film oxidation² are necessary, in this study, we aimed to improve these factors by using a novel medium construction and Tb-Fe-Co ternary alloy films.
