Abstract
Narrowband operation of high-power lasers is usually achieved by means of intracavity optical elements, or grazing-grating output couplers, which nevertheless present several disadvantages, such as finesse reduction due to walk-off effects and power loss. Therefore, these configurations are not suitable for obtaining single-mode operation and fine-frequency tuning over the laser medium gain bandwidth.
