Abstract
Recently we reported the first observation of survival of vibrational energy in the scattering of a molecular beam of vibrationally excited NO (v= 1, J= 3/2, Ω = 1/2)from a LIF(100)surface.1 Subsequently we have completed the rotational and electronic analysis which combined with the velocity and angular data allows us to report the probability for survival of vibrational energy.
