Abstract
Continuous-wave nonlinear optical processes are of great practical and scientific interest providing the best resolution in nonlinear spectroscopy and the highest energy contribution in the selective effect on matter. The problem, however, is that the intensities of the cw output laser fields are generally far less compared with the pulsed ones, which makes these processes difficult to use, especially in extending the frequency conversion to the shortwave cw range.
