Abstract
A diode laser is an attractive component for an optical disk player because of its tiny size and tow energy consumption. Optical videodisk players employing a He-Ne laser are in the commercial market. There have been many attempts to replace He-Ne lasers with diode lasers. We can successfully introduce a diode laser into an optical videodisk player as described here.
