Radio-frequency excited stripline CO and CO2 lasers

Abstract

A stripline laser consisting of two parallel water-cooled x-band waveguide electrodes was excited by a rf discharge at frequencies between 25 and 50 MHz. The rf power input could be varied between 200 and 1000 W.
