Abstract
The metallization of silicon solar cells is conventionally accomplished by screen printing, which is a rapid and economic process. However, the disadvantages of screen printing include poor spatial resolution and high-contact resistance. An alternative technique for solar cell metallization involves a three-layer metal system. Metallization is accomplished by evaporation and photolithographic patterning, metal buildup being achieved by subsequent electroplating.
