Abstract

FM chirp/pulse compression has long been used in conventional radar systems.1 The main advantages of such a technique are (1) efficient use of the average power available at the transmitter, (2) ,increased system accuracy, both in ranging and velocity measurements, and (3) reduction of jamming vulnerability.
