Abstract

An improved understanding of the reactivity of condensed-phase energetic materials on a molecular level is a topic attracting considerable interest.1 Recent publications2,3 describing time-resolved studies of decomposition of gas-phase energetic materials reflect the view that such fundamental investigations of molecular behavior may eventually provide insight into the areas of explosive sensitivity, stability, etc.
