Transfer efficiencies in guided-wave electrooptic filters mode converters

Abstract

This paper examines the effects of a spatially nonuniform electric field in guided-wave electrooptic filters, illustrating specific and distinct ways in which this nonuniformity influences the transfer efficiencies of these important components. Experimental data are presented to support the analysis.
