Abstract

Optical frequency phase modulation using ultrasonic effects on optical fibers is an attractive technology for advanced electronic telemetering network in ultrahigh voltage (UHV) power transmission systems as well as in its proposed application to multiplexed video signal transmission1 or acoustic sensors.2 An important feature at this method is that only electrically durable components and no optoelectnc; devices are required in high voltage areas.
