Light-neuron interactions: key to understanding the brain

Abstract

To understand how neurons process information, we describe two light-neuron interactions: (1) light-induced spatio-temporal patterned synaptic inputs to study neuronal function; (2) light as an ultra-sharp scalpel to cut dendrites and isolating synaptic inputs.
