Abstract

We examined the performance of Diffuse Optical Tomography to resolve two purely absorptive objects, 2mm in diameter embedded in a diffuse slab media simulating breast tissue using simulations in the frequency domain. We demonstrate that the technique can resolve the two objects at 6mm apart with a spatial certainty of -2mm.
