Optical coherence tomography for upper gastrointestinal tract diagnosis

Abstract

A high speed, power-efficient, catheter-based optical coherence tomography system has been used to image the esophagus and stomach in over 90 patients and can differentiate normal tissue from Barrett’s esophagus and esophageal adenocarcinoma.
