Optical coherence tomography of coronary arteries in vitro using a new catheter

Abstract

A new 1 mm diameter (3.2F) optical coherence tomography catheter has been constructed and used to examine human coronaries arteries in vitro. OCT images show the ability to identify clinically relevant plaque morphology.
