Fast Wide-field Photothermal Optical Lock-in Imaging of Gold Nanospheres to Provide Molecular Contrast in Quantitative Phase Imaging

Abstract

We present a fast wide-field holography system for detecting the photothermally excited gold nanospheres in a QPI scheme. An interferometric optical lock-in approach was shown to improve SNR for detecting nanoparticles on multiple substrates.
