Targeting the ultrastructural origins of field carcinogenesis using low coherence enhanced backscattering

Abstract

Multiple ultrastructural alterations in precancerous tissue create an environment which is conducive to further cancer development. While these changes are not visible using conventional microscopy, they can be selectively targeted using low coherence enhanced backscattering.
