Propagation of Coherent Polarized Light in Turbid Tissue-like Scattering Medium

Abstract

We present a new generalized approach for modeling of coherent polarized light propagation in highly scattering turbid media, such as biological tissues. The major wave properties of light, including temporal coherence, linear and circular polarization, phase shift, interference are taken into account and discussed.
