Real-time Three-Dimensional Dynamic Imaging of Lower Airway Using Swept Source Optical Coherence Tomography

Abstract

We investigated the feasibility of a high-speed SS-OCT system along with a miniature side-viewing catheter to dynamically assess structures of the bronchus in vivo. Excellent correlations were achieved between OCT images and the corresponding histology.
