A quantitative spatial comparison of high-density diffuse optical tomography and fMRI cortical mapping

Abstract

Image-quality of high-density diffuse optical tomography is evaluated against fMRI using functional maps of visual cortex as a benchmark. Co-registered subject-specific light models have an average localization error of 4.4 +/− 1 mm.
