Real-time in vivo visualization of tissue oxygenation and autofluorescence with a snapshot hyperspectral camera for detection of precancerous lesions

Abstract

A new type of snapshot hyperspectral camera shows promising preclinical results for real-time in vivo detection of oral and esophageal cancers. Maps of hemoglobin content, tissue oxygenation and autofluorescence are presented for oral cavity tissue.
