Fiber-Optic Spectrometer to Monitor Intra-Operative Hemodynamics

Abstract

Diffuse reflectance spectroscopy enables noninvasive measurement of blood fraction content and hemoglobin oxygen saturation during surgery. We created a spectrometer and observed the hemodynamic dynamics during esophagectomy.
