Accessing Accuracy in the Determination of Solid Tissue Phantom Optical Properties: A Sample Geometry Study

Abstract

Accuracy of time resolved transmittance characterization of solid tissue phantoms is investigated by measuring samples of various geometries with non negligible boundary effects. Relative invariance to geometry provides confidence on absolute accuracy of characterization.
