Polarization Characterisation of Laparoscope Systems for Polarization Resolved Tissue Imaging

Abstract

Polarization resolved imaging techniques must be incorporated into standard imaging instruments to be used in the clinic. We present a characterisation of the polarization properties of two commercial laparoscopes and detail the inherent difficulties.
