Abstract

Prospective validation of a new algorithm is crucial for clinical implementation as a diagnostic tool. A previously developed Raman diagnostic algorithm was successfully tested prospectively on 48 patients, resulting in sensitivity, specificity and negative predictive value of 78%, 98%, and 98%, respectively.
