Reduction of Secondary Echoes Generated from Ultrasound Transducer Face in Photoacoustic Imaging Implemented in Reflection Geometry

Abstract

A method to reduce image artifacts arising from secondary ultrasound echoes during photoacoustic imaging is presented. Experimental results presented indicate a significant improvement in the image quality by the use this technique.
