Fast Monte Carlo Simulations for Quantifying Optical Properties from Short Source-Detector Separation Geometries

Abstract

Quantitative fluorescence lifetime imaging requires an accurate knowledge of imaging medium optical properties. The efficacy of a fast Monte Carlo to determine optical properties at short source-detector distances, required for depth-resolved epi-illumination FLI, is presented.
