Coherence Length Improvement by Quasi-Phase Continuous Tuning in Wavelength-Swept Laser Source for OCT

Abstract

The quasi-phase continuous tuning technique is proposed to improve the coherent build-up of gain, resulting in narrower instantaneous linewidth, thus longer coherence length. We demonstrated the improvement by a factor of two at 20kHz rate.
